Las Vegas Marathon

 

Several Impact Athletes travelled to this 'Rock 'n' Roll' event in Nevada to 'wind down' for the season.

 

Congrats to Myles, Jackie and Karen who ran the 'full', plus Suzanne, Cathy and Carmen who ran the Half.

 


 

Ultraman Hawaii

 

 Penticton's Sheena Miller completes Ultraman Hawaii!!! This 3 day test of an athletes mental and physical abilities is run over 3 testing days in Kona, Hawaii.

Sheena was the youngest competitor this year in the field 37 athletes, check out her result here

 


Ironman Cozumel

 

Myles Gaulin rips it up in Cozumel, Mexico. Home of the newest Iron-distance race in North America. Myles placing 4th in a very competitive AG and an impressive 58th overall on an overcast & humid day. Check out his splits here.

Jeff Symonds gets another top 10 result at the Longhorn 70.3 in Texas,

he races again in Clearwater FL in two weeks; at the world champs in this distance.

 

 Kirk Vandeweghe races the Xterra Worlds (off road tri) in Maui and is 10th in his AG. Well done guys!

National Titles in Kelowna at the Apple Triathlon!

 

Steve Hardwicke and Carl Peterson win their age divisions with impressive performances. The 27th annual event attracted large fields in both the Sprint

Jeff Symonds wins the Peach Classic Triathlon for the 2nd year in a row. Others on their AG Podium incl, Steve Hardwicke, Cathy Sheehan,

Claudia Edwards and

Diane Parchomchuck who are both racing at the ITU world AG champs in Australia on Sept 12th.

 


 

The 5th annual Desert Half-Iron in Osoyoos had athletes competing on one of Canada's toughest courses, Jeff Symonds raced to 2nd Place, Coach Kev and Kirk Vandeweghe each sew up their age groups, Chris Hawkins was 3rd in the M45 and Justin Birks 3rd in the M25 division. All four are racing Ironman Canada on August 30th.

 


 

July 5th saw Team Impact Athletes racing   in Germany, Austria, Ontario & BC.

Deb Finnie is 2nd in her AG at the Peterborough Half-Iron.  In BC, Coach Olly and Claudia Edwards race on a fast course at the Squamish Olympic Distance Tri.
